SELF-BASTING LID: Raised nubs are intentionally crafted underneath the cast iron lid to create a rich, self-basting environment. As the lid allows heat to circulate and retain steam, the nubs collect the moisture during condensation, then redirects it back onto the food to cook low-and-slow recipes wiith fall-off-the-bone results.
